The New Life Mission is a Christian organization that has been open in Kamloops since 1980. We have been working to serve, strengthen, and uplift the people in our community through a variety of services and programs. The New Life Mission is committed to providing save, clean, and sober environments for men and women working to overcome gambling, drug and/or alcohol dependencies. The programs offer a balanced transition toward a holistic recovery. The goals of our programs are to build a solid foundation in the second stage of recovery through counseling and support. We want to empower individuals to live a life free and clean from drugs and/or alcohol. The programs also offer the opportunity for the men and women to explore career possibilities and reconnect with their families. Clients can stay in the program and reside with us for up to two years. The New Life Mission Outreach Centre also offers many other programs for both men and women in the community including healthy hot lunches emergency food, emergency clothing and furniture, chapel services, funeral services, addictions counseling, crisis counseling, employment counseling, assessment and referral services, pro-bono law clinci, hairdressing salon, foot clinic, prison and hospital ministry, volunteer program, plus a Dental & Health Clinic.
