The La Salle Redboine Conservation District was formed January 30, 2002 by an Order-in-Council by the Province of Manitoba to administer and develop programs for the effective management and conservation of natural resources. The District receives funding from the Province of Manitoba and certain municipalities and is governed by a Board of Directors from various municipalities involved in teh Conservation District. It is exempt from income taxes under The Income Tax Act.
