CLASSIC provides free legal assistance to low income individuals in Saskatoon with an emphasis on community outreach. Particular attention is to the needs of Aboriginal peoples. Work with White Buffalo Youth Lodge, University of Saskatchewan College of Law, Urban Aboriginal Strategy, Saskatchewan Department of Justice, Saskatchewan Law Foundation, & CUMFI & the Metis Nation. CLASSIC also runs the Saskatoon Free Legal Clinic (SFLC). SFLC conducts 1/2 hour consults with legal information and basic legal services. SFLC deals with family, criminal & civil law by appointment with a practicing lawyer. SFLC also deals with landlord-tenant issues, labour standards, social assistance, CPP, EI, human rights, WCB correctional services, disciplinary & parole hearings.
