Texada Health Services Society is a
Supportive Health Care Charity located in Gillies Bay, BC.
Services Provided by Texada Health Services Society
1. Purchase equipment for Texada Health Centre over and above that paid for by Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, requested by the doctor and approved by THSS directors. 2. Work with Powell River Regional District to maintain Texada Health Centre and memorial gardens. 3. Assist community members with health issues to stay in their own home by paying for services e.g. cleaning as requested by the doctor or home care nurses. 4. Administer the breast cancer patients support fund and the general cancer patients support fund. 5. Contribute towards training costs for nurses and first aid/CPR for community members if not covered by other sources. 6. Advocate for health services for Texada residents.
