This year we continued our early career mentoring program through the engagement of young music professionals o work with the NSCE as session musicians, workshop facilitators, commissioned musical arrangements. This program benefits the NSCE by improving artistic quality but also enhanced the careers of the young music professionals by providing additional performance and composition opportunities, work experience, and an opportunity to benefit from the guidance of our artistic directors. We also began offering interactive performances as part of our Community Concert Series. The audience for these performances are diverse ranging from seniors centres, retirement communities and children's and school groups.
