Services Provided by Captioning The Word
Because captioning Christian events, church services, videos, radio broadcasts, etc. require very specialized training, the Captioners are trained in and are familiar with a Christian church service and/or Christian events, Christian terminology, doctrine, observances, culture and traditions. These Captioners are like missionaries, reaching people with the Gospel. To people who are physically challenged in that they cannot hear, the Captioners are the "voice" of Pastors and other Christian speakers. We provide direct captioning at a weekly Sunday morning church service. We evangelize by being a role model to other churches who contact us about what we do and how they can do the same.
