During the year, the Association sponsored regional events for secondary school children priorto a national final which provided the students with the chance to apply specific skillsin the fields of mathematics, sciences and engineering in the making and operation of robots.Awards and trophies were provided as well as sponsorships for local and international competitionsin the student robotics field. It is hoped that as a result of its efforts the Association willencourage students to pursue further studies and careers in the fields of mathematics, science and engineering.
