Contribute to the protection of society by providing chaplaincy and pastoral care and actively encouraging and assisting offenders and ex-offenders in returning to society. Assist the families of offenders and ex-offenders and correctional staff by providing them with practical, spiritual, emotional and social support. Work with chaplains at correctional institutions and others in the community to provide support to offenders prior to their release. Visit Halfway Houses and the homes of offenders and ex-offenders. Promote restorative justice activities, principles and practices. Continuing partnership in a Restorative Justice initiative, called the CoSA Project, which is focused on the reintegration of high-risk sex offenders into society after the expiration of their prison sentences.
