In 2016, the Centre's programs expanded on all fronts. A new Global Pluralism Award Program was launched, with the first Award expected in 2017). Pluralism projects to understand the dynamics of pluralism in Kenya and Kyrgyzstan were undertaken and program development for a new focus on Tunisia's democratic transition began. Research to support education programming started. The Global Analysis programs implemented the research plan started in 2014 (commissioning 18 change cases from different world regions and a series of "intersections papers" to determine how related fields of practice address diversity) and work continued on the indicator program. The event program and virtual centre continued to develop, along with planning for the Centre's sesquicentennial program in 2017.
