The Family Support Program includes four approaches to family support: evidenced-based/informed parenting education programming, including "Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting" facilitated by SWCRC social work staff and "Parent Talk" facilitated by staff of a partnering agency; a series of informational workshops on subjects related to parenting; Chat 'n Play, an opportunity for parents and young children to meet informally one afternoon per week week; assessment, supportive counselling, information and referral provided to parent participants in Family Support Program activities.
