The purpose of the Network is to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to enhance the delivery of health and social services for older adults by transferring knowledge about best practices for the care of the elderly. The Network also accomplishes this by addressing the training shortage through post-secondary education in gerontology and the addition of geriatric content in medical, nursing and social work programs.
