Services Provided by West Coast Chamber Music
1. We present four classical chamber music concerts per season for the general public at our home venue, the Unitarian Church of Vancouver. These events include: the music performance itself, artist's educational commentary, written program notes and audience receptions. 2. Classical music concerts are sometime presented at various other community venues in the region. 3. We present children's classical music performances which are both educational as well as entertaining. This program is sometimes toured to various elementary schools or community venues in the metropolitan area. 4. To encourage and honour the next of musicians, we give an annual award to the Langley Community Music School's music festival to the winning chamber ensemble. New in this fiscal year, we gave an award to the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival for best chamber ensemble. 5. We offer a variety of tasks and work to approximately 10-15 volunteers per season, and paid work to approximately 10-14 musicians, 3-4 administrative assistants, and 1 photographer per season.
