Children's hospital program- The program provides martial arts classes for children diagnosed with cancer, as well as support during the hospital and clinic procedures, uniforms and transportation to and from classes. "..." , the program director, trains the martial arts volunteer therapists, recruits new therapists and runs some programs with the kids. There are 8 volunteer therapists that deliver the program two days per week at the children's hospital-LHSC. Community program- KKC has developed a weekly program in facilities outside the hospital to service outpatients and patients in remission, as well as their siblings. These sessions outside the hospital allow the children to enjoy the benefits of the Kids Kicking Cancer program with the support of their family on a regular and consistent basis. In the fall of 2014, KKC started offering classes twice a week at the London Lightning training facility. In the spring of 2015, they commenced providing one class per week at the Ronald McDonald House. There are 7 volunteer therapists trained to provide these classes. Community expansion opportunities will be initiated as demand increases.Thames Valley Children Centre- In 2015, KKC partnered with the Thames Valley childrens Centre to provide periodic hourly sessions to large gatherings of children of different ailments, both physical and mental.
