1. Published Canada's first journalist-to-journalist mental health reporting guides, Mindset: Reporting on Mental Health and En-T?te: Reportage et sant? mentale, in April, 2014. These printed guides and accompanying website were created by the Forum in association with CBC News and the MH Commission of Canada, attracting international attention and endorsements from The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and La Presse etc. The guides are distributed free of charge to journalism school and media organizations across Canada. Websites created at:www.mindset-mediaguide.ca and www.en-tete.ca. This program is to be maintained through 2017 at least. 2. Forum Freelance Fund awards hazardous environment training bursaries to help freelancers in danger attend specialized safety courses in USA or UK. Winners are chosen by an independent jury. Eleven bursaries awarded in 2015. 3. Information on safety and mental health issues for journalists disseminated continuously by website, Facebook, Twitter and J-Source. New main website launched in April 2014: www.journalismforum.ca. 4. Provision of one-day Risk Awareness workshops for journalism students at participating journalism schools. This program may be reconstructed to help journalism educators provide information within new or existing courses.
