The Foundation receives and maintains donations and disburses a portion thereof and/or the income therefrom to: a) any charitable organization or organizations or charitable foundation of foundations in Canada that are "registered charities", as defined by the Income Tax Act (Canada); and b) "qualified donees", as defined by the Income Tax Act (Canada), for use in their charitable activities. The Foundation undertakes clean water, education and health care programs to support the development of impoverished persons and communities in Western Mali. The Foundation also provides food, clothing and other basic supplies to impoverished persons in Western Mali.
