Meet in Beijing Arts Festival:The Meet in Beijing Arts Festival featured Canada as the themed country in 2016. This month long festival was announced in April at the Press Gallery of Parliament Hill by the then Minister John McCallum in Ottawa. The festival opened April 25,2016 at the National Centre of Performing Artsin Beijing,China with a showcase featuring a variety of Canadian performer s. Can4Culture was responsible for identifying and facilitating the presentation of the Canadian performers. In additon,a photo exhibition on Canada co-organized with Canadian Geographic was on display during the month long festival at the TianQiao Art Centre in Beijing drawing people of all ages to c ome to know about Canada through the the beautiful photos. This program furthered our mission to highlight Canadian Culture in China and facilitate people-to-people contacts. The Canada-China Building Friendly Relations Book:Can4Culture was honoured to receive advice and guidance from Global Affairs Canada to produce this trilingual photo book in English,French and Chinese,commemorating the building of realtions between Canada and China through 46 years of diplomatic relations.
