During the summer of 2013, a small group of Kings Landing supporters came together to think about innovative ways to ensure that Kings Landing Historical Settlement would survive and thrive for many generations to come. We become incorporated and obtained our charitable status in 2014. We developed a strategic plan and undertook to have several key initiatives beginning in 2015. We have been very grateful for the tremendous support we have received and for the many donors and volunteers who have come forward. With the help of our Founders and supporters we continue to strengthen our ability to assist Kings Landing Historical Settlement. Kings Landing Historical Settlement is an outdoor Living History Museum, recreating the lives of 19th century New Brunswickers. It officially opened its doors in 1974 welcoming the world to New Brunswick s past. The idea to open the living history museum was born out of necessity to preserve much of the heritage along the Saint John River Valley in the mid-1960's as one of New Brunswick s largest infrastructure projects got underway.
