The foundation was set up to receive and maintain a fund and to apply all or part of the principal and income for charitable purposes. One key area of focus was to establish and operate a cultural/heritage/community centre to be used for workshops,drama, art, music, handicrafts, hobbies and recreation for the benefit of the general public including members of the Polish Canadian community. The early years of the Foundation's existance were spent in planning and assisting the Polonia Brampton Corporaton in the realization of the construction of the Millennium Centre, which is now completed. The Foundation is now set to commence providing certain programs pending finalization of funding for the first year's operations.The Foundation is seeking financial support to start-up operations in 2014 of a Cultural and Heritage Centre in Brampton. The proposed programs will enrich the lives of the community not only in Brampton but in the surrounding area.The programs will preserve, promote and celebrate the rich Polish culture and heritage and broaden participation and engagement in arts and culture in the area of Brampton that has recently developed.
