The charity continues to fulfill its purpose to advance education. The charity awarded a $500 bursary to 2015/2016 graduating student from St. Matthew High School. The board coordinated with the Chair of the St. Matthew High School Awards Committee to collect applications for the Brice Tiamuh Memorial Scholarship/Bursary. Information about how to apply for the bursary was added to the Scholarship/Bursary Booklet and circulated to all graduating students. Students who met the criteria were asked to submit their application with additional information to the Chair of the St. Matthew Awards Committee. The chair reviewed, evaluated and recommended the recipient to the Board and the Board concurred. The Charity's President along with Secretary attended the graduating ceremony in June 2016 to present the recipient with the Brice Tiamuh Memorial Charity scholarship/bursary award and the Brice Tiamuh Memorial plaque. The charity also disbursed $600 to the Colo-rectal Cancer Association of Canada. The charity raised its funds this fiscal through a new fundraising initiative by hosting a charity beach soccer tournament on June 4.
