1. When ALBERTA fires occurred in April 2016, our Society promptly organized relief work. About 400 members in 7 Brunches attended the relief works. 2. Funded by New Horizon for Seniors Program (2015.-2016.3), We reported the program finished to NHSP in April, 2016. During the program year, we organized activities to alleviate the loneliness of seniors through: a. Three English classes (with an attendance of over 160 new immigrants) b. Four chorus groups in three different places (with an attendance of 150 people). c. Five dancing classes with 100 participants. d. One Chinese musical Instrument band consisting of 20 musicians. e. Ipad and iphone classes to open up channels for house bound seniors to communicate with the outside world. 3. Our 7 brunches and art troupe performed on 50 occasions mostly at senior homes to entertain seniors. These performances were participated by some 350 volunteers.
