A wholly-volunteer organization with no employees, the Orillia Silver Band performs throughout the year in Orillia, elsewhere in Simcoe County, Parry Sound, McKellar and Dunchurch. In 2016, the Band performed fund raisers for Hillcrest Lodge in Orillia, the Lighthouse Mission for Men, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Orillia marking the 95th Anniversary of its pipe organ and the concert series at Collier Street United Church, Barrie. The Band donated a portion of ticket sales from a Christmas concert to the Parry Sound Rotary Club Christmas Hampers. The Band played summer concerts in Orillia ad Midland, two Santa Claus parades, Orillia's Culture Days, a Lakehead University convocation ceremony and a Christmas performance at Birchmere Residence for seniors in Orillia. Members of the Band played/manned the Salvation Army Christmas Kettles and did outreach to various schools in the area.
