VGH/UBC Hospital Foundation: Funding for a three-year post-doctoral fellowship in men's research beginning in 2014. UBC/UBC Foundation: Funding support to the University of British Columbia in the development and expansion of a department of Persian Studies, focused on Persian culture and language. University of Toronto: Funding a post-doctoral fellowship in Iranian Studies. The focus of the fellowship is the publication of academic journals on Iranian local and regional studies. Kwantlen Polytechnic University: Annual scholarship for a landed immigrant student enrolled in any undergraduate program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Other Community Support: Funding support to a number of programs targeting children and senior in Iran and Canada. These range from providing clothing for school children in need and sponsoring children's sports teams, to supporting seniors' programs.
