This Society operates a provincially-owned National Historic Site,a family home from 1861 to 1975. Since the family sold the home to the Province of BC with all contents, the home has been operated as a museum, with tours andlectures etc about theera depicted by the display of the collection, ie 1890 to 1920. The Society's main revenue source is catering; luncheod is offered to museum visitors, as well as light refreshments served alfresco undera tent. The museum also has a small gift shopand occasionally yard sales or special events are held to raise funds for the garden, which like the house has considerable heritage value. The Society engages in upgrading and repair/maintenance of the House and outbuildings, to ensure goodstewardship of this valuable property owned by the people of BC.
