We were able to have the entire greensand foundry from SAIT donated to the museum. This donation grew out of our relationship with SAIT. When a change in curriculum made the foundry irrelevant SAIT decided to contribute it to us to continue our mission to educate and demonstrate. The foundry was very well equipped and adds much to our workshop capabilities. in the next year or so we will make a place for it and re-assemble the equipment and make it functional. In an effort to concentrate on more pertinent collections we donated the 1946 Maple Leaf Fire truck in the collection to the Farm museum in Leduc Alberta. This gives them a very nice piece to build a collection around and we gain much needed storage space.
