n 2014, Waypoint identifies four areas of patient care improvements that would be supported by donations and fundraising revenue. These include: advocacy and community outreach with a focus on reducing stigma; enhancing patient care through advancements in clinical programming and research; upgrading and buying new technology and hospital equipment; and planning for the nxt 30 years with a short-term plan for renovations to our current buildings and a further campus redevelopment vision for a new regional hospital, transitional housing and academic research partnership buildings. in 2015 Waypoint became an official provided of the Mental Health Commission of Canada's Mental Health First Aid Training. Donations and fundraising are subsidizing this training and materials for community partners and members of the public. The hospital has also committed $150,000 from fundraising revenuew towards the 2016/17 capital budget.
