Services Provided by Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund
1)The Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund provides short-term financial support to breast cancer patients so they can focus, simply and solely, on fighting their disease. Patients are reimbursed for expenses incurred while they are in treatment (food, shelter, medication, transportation, prosthetics, various treatments and restorative therapies). Patients with low income are prioritized. 2)Education/Communication:Presentations raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of how to reduce exposure to environmental toxins; including a national campaign promoting (Causemetics tm) informing Canadians of the benefits of using non-toxic personal care products. 3)A social enterprise (Causemetics tm) providing the following: 1)Promoting and making available for purchase, cosmetics free from known carcinogens:promoting a healthier lifestyle in aid of cancer prevention and 2)Providing a revenue stream from the sale of these cosmetics to assist in the funding of breast cancer patients undergoing treatment
