TISA operates an independent art school with fully qualified teachers instructing in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, assemblage, print making, ceramics, collage and other visual arts. TISA educates and prepares students, should they choose, for a professional career in the arts and provides a learning platform for emerging artists to display their works of art. TISA provides alternative accessibility options to high quality art edcuation compared with many government run art schools as well as many neighbourhood schools for: part time students; persons lacking required course pre-requistes; individuals unable to afford or devote the time to full time enrolment; individuals who are only able to attend classes in the evening or on weekends; individuals interested in a much broader curriculum choice than that offered by neighbourhood schools; students requiring a small class studio based environment; and for students with certain special needs.
