Having recruited additional adult volunteers who contributed over 3,000 hours of their time, we were able to continue work with 40 area youth developing their technical and leadership skills as part of the FIRST Robotics Challenge program. The team participated in two Regional qualification tournaments in Toronto, and in Cleveland Ohio where the team was on the Winning Alliance and earned an invitation to the World Champlonships competition is St.Louis, Missouri. In addition to competing with the robot, the team continued it's outreach activities promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math(STEM) in the community. This included participation in charity events, community events and festival as well as school visits. The FIRST Lego League program for younger elementary school aged student continued with mentorship of teams and hosting a qualifying tournament for all the teams in the area.
