The Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs (the Club) is a member organization of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Founded in 1921 by the Kiwanis Club of Toronto, the Clubs have been providing a safe place for after-school, evening, and school break programs. The Clubs serve 1,100 children and youth in the Regent Park, Cabbagetown and Trinity Bellwoods communities annually. With a rich 75 year history th Club has helped more than 50,000 children discover, develop and achieve their potential by providing a continuum of after-school and evening programs and services for children and youth aged 6 through 24. The Club, a United Way member agency, is a leading non-profit provider of programs that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of children and youth living in the inner-city. 69% of the Clubs' families earn less than $20,000 annually. No child or family is refused service based on their ability to pay.
