The arts council also produced nine arts events in 2016 through intermediaries. They included two choir performances, a theatrical production, gardening and weaving workshops, 2 visual arts exhibits, children's entertainer at the local library, and a concert series. In addition, the arts council awarded funds to qualified donees for arts education in the schools: high school fine arts department, high school music department, arts and music departments in two elementary schools, and an art therapy centre in one elementary school. These funds were given for specific assets requested, such as digital cameras for photography classes, musical instruments, sheet music, books, and art tools.
