New four day disaster exercise in June involving Nanaimo, Nanaimo RDN, and Province of BC. Training of additional radio operators and scribes for logging, especially in the use of digital formats. We have added and licensed(VE7VIU)a new repeater at Vancouver Island University to increase our coverage area for disaster communications. Testing is in progress to determine how effective the new repeater will be in covering all of the regional district.
