We have been funded to support two pilots projects in Tsilhqot'in and Clayoquot Sound, as well as build the FN-ECONET, which will share the insights and best practices from these pilots, including traditional ecological knowledge and environmental stewardship techniques. In conjunction with these workshops, we are developing a regional economic plan for Clayoquot Sound to alleviate Aboriginal poverty. Following our workshops, all our research will be shared through UBC, and subject to peer review. Lastly, we are supporting The Nature Conservancy(TNC) on the implementation of a social innovation lab, which aims to foster scalable, sustainable to complex problems facing Indigenous peoples.
