The Fraser Valley Youth Society is a community based organization located in Mission British Columbia. Our Society consists of a Board of Directors, Executive Director, Program Coordinators and volunteers,. We operate a drop in centre for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Allied youth within Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack. We have approx 3 staff 10 volunteers and 40-50 youth who attend the drop-ins weekly. We offer psycho-educational programming for high risk youth. The program involves peer socialization, group discussions, workshop, presentations, health & safety information, and special events. We also advocate for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgenered issues through public awareness and educational avents.
