Be You Promise. Org (Be You) is a charitable organization providing educational programs on the incidence, causes and effects on individuals & society of the use and misuse of alcohol & drugs. Be You conducts research & educational presentations geared towards adults aimed at the risks & harms associated with substance use & misuse. These activities are carried out with approx. 150 hours of volunteer time. Be You conducts research & educational presentations geared towards youth ages 12-19 consisting of a drug & alcohol education component followed by interactive discussions that encourage youth to critically evaluate & think about healthy life choices. Be You conducts research into mental health & addiction education & provides a free educational publication available to the general public across Canada. These activities are carried out by approx. 1,000 hours of volunteer time. Be You conducts Community Outreach programs that provide opportunities to form strategic alliances with individuals, public officials, law enforcement school districts & other charitable programs. These activities are carried out by approx. 900 hours of volunteer time. Be You conducts media campaigns to educate on healthy life choices and the benefits of moderation or restraint in the use of alcohol and drugs. Media campaigns are managed by approx. 250 hours of volunteer time.
