We continue to provide independent supports to individuals with developmental disabilities to allow them to make and implement plans and important decisions about how they will live their lives, on a cost-recovery basis. We are also one of seven partner independent facilitation organizations across Ontario who are collaborating with the Ontario Independent Facilitation Network in the Independent Facilitation Demonstration Project, a project begun in January 2015. The project will run for 27 months, is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services. The goals are to (a)increase the capacity for independent facilitation across Ontario; b)demonstrate the effectiveness of independent facilitation. During the project our target is to provide independent facilitation support to 93 individuals.
