Providing facilities and training for area youth ages 9-18 to instill life skills, values, citizenship, seamanship, community involvement as well as, but not limited to: teamwork, trades training, discipline, respect, self confidence, leadership, survival training, and physical fitness. Instruction also includes: drill, rope techniques, engineering training, navigation, communications, band, sailing, weapons operations and safety, marine exploration, orienteering, outdoor adventure, harassment prevention, ceremonial parades, sports and Duke of Edinburgh Awards program.
