In the 2016 fiscal year, the Choir performed for the first time in the new Bella Concert hall at Mount Royal University with a full chamber orchestra. This concert was enjoyed by the largest audience to date, with over 600 in attendance. The Choir initiated what it plans to be an annual event, with a very successful New Year's Eve concert at Knox United Church, attended by almost 500 people. In January and February 2016, the Choir participated in its first collaboration with Pro Coro, Edmonton's professional choir, with performances of Rachmaninoff's "Vespers" in Calgary and Edmonton. In May 2016, the Choir performed the Far West at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton, in a concert that was a featured event at PODIUM 2016, Canada's choral conference co-presented every two years by Choral Canada. In May 2016, 4 members of the Choir, including its Artistic Director, performed "Responsio", a composition by Canadian composer Peter Togni. Canadian clarinetist, Jeff Riley, was the featured instrumentalist. The Choir commissioned a new work by Canadian composer, Heather Schmidt, which will be performed by the Choir in February 2017.
