In the 2016 fiscal year the Students' Association facilitated the following charitable programs using 69 volunteers who together put in 724.5 volunteer hours: Mental health and crisis support to students; peer counseling services; food bank and free breakfast program for in-need recipients; emergency loan and emergency bursary funds program; Christmas hamper program; Aboriginal support program including elder counseling, native awareness and skills development; Cultural and Indigenous Inclusion program; support for international and diverse individuals including advocacy, awareness and opportunities; peer-to-peer outreach program; health and dental program providing accessible and affordable benefits and coverage; relationship/identity/sex program providing a safe and inclusive space for all gender and sexual orientations, raising awareness, promoting respect and personal safety through education and access to resources.
