The statement of purpose of the Friends of Point Frederick is as follows: (a) to preserve and exhibit historical collections depicting the history of Point Frederick, the Royal Military College and other important sites in the City of Kingston, (b) To research, educate and communicate the history of Point Frederick, the Royal Military College and other important sites in the City of Kingston, and (c) to provide and maintain a Museum at Point Frederick for the benefit of the community. Friends of Point Frederick was incorporated on May 2, 2013, without share capital under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, and is a registered charity under the Income Tax Act.
