In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016 new programs were initiated. (1) The Robert Beardsley Young Playwrights Awards program in partnership with the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Two awards were presented at the Guild's awards night on October 25, 2015. (2) An annual Youth Award program in partnership with the Alice Munro Festival for the Short Story; the first award was presented on June 4, 2016. (3) An annual scholarship awards to a student of the Glenn Gould School for the next five years in partnership with the Royal Conservatory of Music.
