The Home Support and Home Assist programs continue to be very active providing personal care to seniors to allow them to remain living in their own homes. Child, Youth and Family programming continues with Youth Outreach, Child and Family Counselling and Family Support Groups. Making Connections continued with seniors' lunch on Denman Island. Equipment Loan Cupboards on each island lend mobility aids to islanders of all ages. Comox valley Better at Home provides non-medical supports to help seniors in the Comox Valley and Denman and Hornbvy Islands such as: friendly visiting, minor home repairs, yard work and transportation. Minding the Gulf raises awareness of mental health resources. Other continuing programs include the Hornby hamper program, Hospice and Community Education. We also fundraise annually for the Home Assist Emergency Fund which provides short term Home Assist services to those that cannot afford them.
