Manitoba Underdogs Rescue, a registered charity and non-profit organization, operates on a foster home-based model with a dedicated volunteer team.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, care for, and ultimately seek out permanent and loving homes for Manitoba dogs. In addition to this, we partner with First Nations communities to empower responsible dog ownership and welfare through education, support, and vet services.

To rescue, rehabilitate, restore to full health, stray and unwanted dogs and to find permanent homes for them. 2. To reduce the overpopulation of dogs by holding spay / neuter clinics, focusing on Manitoba's First Nations Reserves. Manitoba Underdogs has a core group of 10 volunteers that provide leadership and a group of 45-50 active volunteers and foster homes. Underdogs has between 40 and 50 dogs in care at any one time and all are housed in foster homes. Volunteers can contribute as little as a couple of hours a month providing transportation, or helping with fundraising or 24 hour day care for an injured or sick dog or a litter of puppies.
