We promote, and improve upon, the reporting, recording, and preservation of archaeological heritage resources in Newfoundland and Labrador We present lectures and symposiums on the archaeology of Newfoundland and Labrador We provide educational opportunities on archaeology such as workshops, demonstations, and field trips throughout the year. We organize professional, amateur, and lay people interested in Newfoundland and Labrador archaeology and develop a shared network of information, including local resources and contracts through social media such as the NLAS website, Facebook and Twitter We act as a liaison with other heritage groups on behalf of the membership, to benefit the province's archaeological heritage resources.
