The corporation will attempt to make a lasting difference to the community through the following purpose: To educate the public about the history of the Keewatin, transportation on the Great Lakes, and Port McNicoll, Ontario and the surrounding area, and maritime history by: (a) establishing and maintaining the Keewatin as a museum (the "Museum") (b) acquiring, collecting, preserving, housing and exhibiting historical materials and objects in the museum which relate thereto; and (c) providing educational programmes.
