The Next 36 program is comprised of two major components: The Entrepreneurship Institute and the hands-on venture development component. The Entrepreneurship Institute consists of roughly 150 hours of in-class instruction taught by internationally acclaimed faculty and Canadian business leaders, directed by one of the Rotman School's top rated professors, "...". Upon acceptance into the program in December, 36 entrepreneurs identify cofounders to build their businesses with and identify the idea to build the business on. From December to April, while completing their undergraduate studies, they build their businesses remotely with input from the Next 36 and their dedicated mentors. Beginning in May, they 36 reallocate to Toronto to begin the Entrepreneurship Institute component of the program while continuing to build their business The program culminates in August at Venture Day, where they present to investors and business leaders across Canada.
