The Foundation's activities are to receive gifts, bequests, funds and property and to hold, invest, administer and distribute funds and properties to other organizations which are "qualified donees" under the provisions of the Canadian Income Tax Act. In 2014, the Foundation established an annual Pat Morris Prize Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 to be awarded to a high school student to continue their training in education. In 2015, The Foundation established the Hugh C. Morris Experiential Learning Fellowship in Earth, Energy and Environmental Sciences valued up to $40,000. The award is for Masters or Doctoral students studying at a Canadian University who exhibits excellence in applied research and seeks to further their knowledge through a programme of experiential learning.
