The purpose of the foundation is to: - Promote eye health and relive poverty by providing eye exams and corrective eyewear - Promote health and education by conducting research into poor vision and providing public with information about causes, treatment and consequences of poor vision In 2016, the foundation focused on putting in place all the administrative functions (forming a Board of Directors, determining by-laws, setting up operating, logistic and accounting functions) and did not for this reason undertake charitable activities. All charitable activities started in January 2017.
