Conducted an annual National Service of Remembrance at the National Military Cemetery, Beechwood, Ottawa in order to remember the contributions of fallen military personnel; to honour those who served; and to teach Canadians, particularly the youth of Canada, about the sacrifices of our veterans and the cost of freedom. Fostered wreath laying ceremonies at other cemeteries across Canada, by encouraging others to organize similar events at their local cemetery where veterans rest (Additional ceremonies were held in Winnipeg and Notre Dame in Ottawa).
