The Old School is evolving as a "Hub" for the Eastern Shore community with a focus on Art, Culture and Community Innovation. Promotes art through festivals, displays and special events. Supports and promotes the sale of work by local artisans. Provides support to local grass root organizations by providing space at no charge for meetings and promotion of their services. There were a total of 87 bookings at Old School for space and also 19 special events were held - reaching residents of all ages from children to seniors. The Old School is totally volunteer based except for a summer student. Total volunteer hours in fiscal 2015/16 - 2,000 hours.
