Services Provided by Ceridian Cares
Ceridian Cares provides grants to individuals and families in need including clothing, food, household items, medical devices and therapies. We provide funding for services to the aged (e.g., scooters and supplies), persons with disabilities and those with special needs (e.g. camp attendance with 1:1 support worker) and provide grants to make homes "barrier free" for those with physical disabilities. To address and prevent specific problems for individuals and/or families, we provide funding for counseling services for people in distress (e.g., conductive therapies). We also make donations to qualified donees (other charitable organizations) as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada) e.g., Siloam Mission. Ceridian Cares has 12 Volunteer Committees made up of over 105 volunteers, one volunteer Executive Director, as well as a volunteer Board of Directors. The Committees recommend grant approvals, purchase items, and provide grants directly to the recipients. Our volunteer committees also commit time to food banks, walk to support The Weekend to End Cancer, and bike to raise funds for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Annually, we host a golf tournament to support Ceridian Cares.
